Ampcontrol’s VoiceCom Phone was selected as a “Good Design Selection Winner” in the Commercial and Industrial category of the 2015 Good Design Awards.
The VoiceCom Phone is Ampcontrol’s next generation, Intrinsically Safe telephone, providing essential communications in underground coal mines. The phone has been developed with the highest standards of rigor and attention to detail. An extensive research effort informed every aspect of the design, and user feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
In addition to being a finalist, The VoiceCom Phone will also be displayed at the Power House Museum in Sydney for 12 months. The exhibition presents a snapshot of contemporary design and innovation in Australia and our region over the past year and features products that use innovative design to improve the way we live.
Product Manager, Chris Bird said “To be recognised with other contemporary designers and innovators at this level is a true privilege and a credit to the project team who worked tirelessly to develop this product.”
The Good Design Awards are Australia’s longest standing national design awards, promoting the role of professional design in the development of products and services.
