Ampcontrol’s Singapore team recently carried out installation, testing and commissioning of temporary electrics for Singapore’s Tuas Water Reclamation Plant.
Contracted to deliver services for the Public Utilities Board on behalf of McConnell Dowell South-East Asia, the Singapore team supplied a range of equipment and services to support the project.
This work included installation, testing and commissioning of all temporary electrics including substations, switchrooms, transformers and high and low voltage cables within the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant.

Ampcontrol’s Prestwick site in Scotland hosted Scottish Engineering members on 12 March for a Networking and Best Practice event.
As a Scottish Engineering member company and winner of the 2019 President’s Award for Excellence, Ampcontrol stepped attendees through their contribution to engineering in Scotland. This included an overview of Ampcontrol’s development of the market leading AUK1000, apprentice training program plus the implementation of growth strategies including the new cables service expansion at the Port of Ayr.
After enjoying a guided tour through Ampcontrol’s manufacturing facility, attendees also enjoyed an industry brief from Scottish Engineering CEO Paul Sheerin who provided his insights into the current engineering climate and opportunities to cultivate networking and best practices in Scotland.
