The Intrinsically Safe Power Supply (ISPS MK2) fully isolates electrical input and output voltages for Ex zone 0, 1 and 2 applications. It is used for the safe operation of certified field devices, such as roof support controllers, lights and sensors in hazardous areas.

Burn Brite – Hazards and IP Ratings

HAZARDS are grouped according to explosive characteristics: Gas group I Methane, underground mining, Gas group IIA & B Above ground gases and vapours, Gas group IIC Hydrogen and acetylene. These groups determine the flamepath dimensions of the Ex d equipment. IP RATING – Classification of degrees of ingress protection as defined by AS1939 1990. The degree of protection provided by an enclosure is indicated by the IP code.
