CompanyCommunity

With a commitment to developing career pathways for those looking to enter into a STEM based career, Ampcontrol has once again supported the prestigious Port Stephens Mayoral Academic Scholarship Program. Ampcontrol CEO & Managing Director, Rod Henderson, proudly presented the 2020 recipient of the Ampcontrol Academic Scholarship, Magdalen Newton, with $2,000 to help kick start her first year of tertiary study. With a personal interest and passion for renewable energy, Magdalen is undertaking a Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Honours) at the University of Newcastle. A sponsor of the Program for the past 3 years, Rod Henderson said “not only are we proud to support students in our local community financially as they take their next step in their academic journey, the Program provides local pathways to STEM related qualifications and future employment opportunities with  businesses such as Ampcontrol”. The Port Stephens Mayoral Academic Scholarship Program is an annual partnership between Port Stephens Council and local businesses to support the next generation of local business and industry leaders as they embark on their tertiary study. In 2020, 18 talented and inspiring students shared in a scholarship pool of $36,000 to boost their education. A full list of scholarship winners can be found HERE
