The Member for Charlton, Hon Greg Combet AM MP, visited Ampcontrol’s Cameron Park facility to meet with local workers and senior management on Friday 3rd February 2012.
Having also been appointed as Minister for Innovation and Industry in December 2011, Greg Combet also heard about the ‘smart’ manufacturing occurring at Ampcontrol’s Cameron Park facility.
Mr Combet comments:
“Like many successful small and medium manufacturers in Australia, Ampcontrol is meeting the current economic challenges by embracing innovation as part of their long term strategy.
“Ampcontrol’s Cameron Park facility is an integral part of its supply chain, for example, ‘smart’ electrical components are made for use in larger equipment assembled at the company’s Tomago plant. Ampcontrol is also well recognised for its iMac monitoring and control system, mining relays and gas detection equipment.
“Their investment in the research, design and production of new technologies means they are well placed to offer solutions to the power, mining and energy sectors, allowing smarter supply, decreased costs and safer workplaces.”
The Series 2400 System is a highly reliable, 24 channel, expandable, micro-processor controlled monitoring and alarm system.
The 2400 System receives and processes signals from a wide range of gas and flame detectors (including analogue and digital process variables) and produces corresponding outputs to drive audible and visual indicators, mimic panels and programmable logic controllers.
