Description:

Ampcontrol is one of Australia’s leading international suppliers of electrical and electronic products to the power, energy and mining sectors. SHEQ Coordinators are an integral part of our commitment to Safety, Health, Environment & Quality and we currently a have role available at a key Tomago manufacturing facility. 

Reporting to the Safety & Quality Manager, you will facilitate the implementation of Ampcontrol’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management systems. This includes supporting the ongoing compliance and retention of business critical certifications including ISO9001, AS/NZS 4801 IECEx and AS/NZS3800.

You will be responsible for the facilitation of site hazard and risk management activities, incident reporting and investigation, maintaining safety statistics and identifying trends, document control systems, register management, internal compliance audits and providing communication coaching and advise to co-workers and management.

Your application should address the following criteria:

  • Possession of formal qualifications and experience in OHS
  • Experience in organisations with accredited Quality systems including system development 
  • Auditing and training experience
  • Experience in workshop floor safety management
  • Working knowledge of injury management and return to work processes
  • Interpersonal communication and relationship building skills suited to dealing with all levels of a manufacturing business
  • Operational knowledge of tasks and duties carried out in metal trades and electrical manufacturing operations
