Implement and improve on existing and new product designs and develop procedures and work instructions to ensure the repeatability of the products to enable an increase in productivity and cost savings. Establish high quality processes suited to heavy manufacturing work.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Review product designs and manufacturing process to identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost
  • Coordinate the relevant engineering design, material planning, prototyping, and review for the development and introduction of identified standard modules and sub-assemblies.
  • Introduction of new product development including modules and sub-assemblies
  • Operating as link between design and manufacture to drive efficiencies and quality

What you’ll possess:

  • Safety as a core value
  • Qualifications in a related engineering field
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple projects
  • Experience in sub-assembly development and new product introductions
  • Experience in engineering design and manufacturing processes
  • Problem solving abilities
  • The ability to work as part of a team and engage others to develop solutions

Experience and/or qualifications in lean manufacturing are advantageous, as would exposure to HV equipment design or manufacturing.

This is an exciting new role that could be suited to an engineer looking for a change, a trades/production experienced person looking to develop or even someone with a strong technical QA background.
