Our relocatable substations are suitable for powering heavy plant and machinery including draglines, shovels and drills in coal, metalliferous and sand mining operations.
These units can be supplied as a mobile option with crawler tracks fitted for ease of positioning with the in the minesite.
The high voltage switchgear can be located on the roof structure of the switchroom with the isolator and earth switch operating mechanisms located on the side of the room at an ergonomic height. Other equipment can form part of the integral design such as circuit breakers and current and voltage transformers which complete the package.
The custom designed on board switchroom is manufactured to adapt to various applications and voltages. Typically, medium voltage switchgear is located in the weatherproof switchroom and customised to suit the application which incorporates the latest technology in protection, metering and PLC/SCADA control. Operator safety and a 2 hour equivalent fire rating are also built into the design along with OH&S considerations.
Specific designs are available to comply with industrial and mining regulations and standards. A custom designed on board switch room is manufactured to suit the various applications with primary voltages from 6.6kV to 66kV and secondary voltages of 6.6kV, 11kV or 22kV available.
