Description

Protection functions are:

• Earth Leakage: Trip Setting range 100 – 500mA, Time Delay setting range 155mS - 475mS
• Residual Current: Trip Setting range 10-100%, Time Delay setting range 100mS –5S
• Overload: Current Range 5.125A – 640A
• Short Circuit: Trip setting 3 to 10 times
• Current Balance: Trip Settings: range 5%, 10%, 20%, 50% and off
• Under Voltage: Trip Setting: range 40% - 95% and off

The motor protection relay has features to monitor temperature, provide alarms before a trip condition and through the 50 event log, diagnose a problem after a fault has occurred.   In addition to the above, a high voltage DC “Insulation Test’ to earth of the equipment connected to the outlet can also be carried out.  If the result falls below the setting for the Insulation Test then an alarm is given and/or the outlet is stopped from being energised.

The relay is supplied from a 240VAC or 110VAC supply.

 

MPA3 V 6.2Motor Protection Relay

The MPA3 V6.2’s event log and adjustable settings have battery back up with an approved IS Battery (AUS Ex 01.2533X Exia I).  Earth leakage protection is approved to AS2081.3.1988 for mining applications. Insulation testing is standard and can be manually initiated at any time.
