The Mini-Cap capacitor

The Mini-Cap is the next generation in our line of power factor correction capacitors with superior design features including overpressure disconnect, metalised polypropylene film and impregnation with non PCB Canola oil.

Features include:

• Rated to over 525V and ranges from 1– 8kVAr @ 415V
• M12 stud for mounting as well as earthing
• 25mm rising clamp style terminators
• Impregnated with environmentally friendly non PCB canola oil for safe installation, transport and disposal
• Advanced design and superior manufacturing process and materials ensuring minimal current leakage

Applications:

• Small step power factor correction boards
• Industrial motors
• Air conditioning systems
• Dairy and irrigation pumping stations

The Eco-Cap capacitor

Features include:

• Impregnated with non PCB canola oil for greater heat dissipation
• Rated from ambient of -10 to +55ºC
• If no excess currents are present, can be used without harmonic blocking reactors

Standard LV capacitor features include:

• Special treated film used that can operate at higher internal temperatures and maintain superior dielectric breakdown strength
• Totally new cell design parameters to reduce internal losses
• Vacuum and heat treated to remove moisture
• Three stud bolt type terminals or rising clamp style
• Internal fail safe protector unit
• Discharge resistors for external fitting
• Mounting by either base stud to gear plate by others or in Ampcontrol custom metalwork
• Voltage rating up to 525v with higher available as custom designs
• KVAr ratings of 7.5-25kvar per 3 phase can
• Optional colour changing temperature strip to trace maximum installed operating temperature
• Optional special crimp lugs to allow 25mm² cable to be used with rising clamp terminals available
• Variety of physical sizes, none taller than can height of 275mm
