Description

The Gasguard range of products have been developed specifically for the mining industry and consists of the following:

• Toxic Sensors
  • O₂ Oxygen
  • H₂S Hydrogen Sulphide
  • CO Carbon Monoxide
• Flammable Gas Sensor
  • CH₄ Methane
• Gasguard - Controllers

Also available are IS Trip Relays and IS Displays (CH₄).

The Sensors are housed in a robust cast stainless steel enclosure and are certified as intrinsically safe for use in hazardous areas in underground coalmines.  They are powered from a 12VDC IS power supply, are temperature compensated and provide a 4-20mA linear output.

The Programmable IS Controller is designed to operate with a range of gas sensors currently supplied by Ampcontrol and other manufacturers.

It is supplied with four (4) selectable 4-20mA or 0.4 to 2V programmable input channels and four (4) IS relay outputs that can be assigned to any channel and are used for control and fault indication.  The controller can be programmed to latch the relays, therefore, during a loss of power, the relays will hold their status.

There are three 4-20mA repeater outputs to operate remote displays or to allow monitoring by a PLC/SCADA System.  The Controller is powered from a 12VDC IS power supply.
