The Electrochemical Toxic gas & Oxygen gas detector comprises an amplifier/sensor combination, is highly reliable and is designed to provide service longevity, even under extreme conditions.
A switch mode power regulator enables a wide ranging input to the amplifier while ensuring a stable and accurate repeatable.
The detector provides 4-20mA source output & is flameproof certified.
The toxic sensors operate on the electrochemical principle and within the sensor are three electrodes each separated by a thin layer of electrolyte. If gas is diffused into the sensor, a chemical reaction creates a current flow between the electrodes proportional to the concentration of gas present in the atmosphere.
Housing:
A robust copper free aluminium housing with the amplifier and associated terminals. They are also available in a stainless steel. The sensor is enclosed in a 316 stainless steel shell and 316 sintered stainless steel flame arrestor which is teflon coated and has an IP65 rating.
