The catalytic gas detector comprises an amplifier/sensor combination which is highly reliable and designed to provide service longevity, even under extreme conditions.

A switch mode power regulator enables a wide ranging input to the amplifier while ensuring a stable and accurate repeatable 4-20mA source output.

The detector is available with or without an LCD/LED indication facia and as non-hazardous area, intrinsically safe or flameproof type

Description

The palladium/platinum catalyst used in the design resists destruction by combustible gas levels above 100% LEL as well as lead and sulphur compounds.

A robust copper free aluminium housing with polyester paint finish and an ingress rating of IP67 contains the amplifier and associated terminals.  They are also available in a stainless steel or plastic enclosure. 

Outputs include:

  • 4-20mA source into 600 ohms (max) 0-23 mA full range
  • Relays volt-free SPST 8A @ 250VAC/30VDC
  • Relays optional for alarm 1, alarm 2, in-fault and fault
  • Optional 4th relay – used to signify common fault or alarm
