Ampcontrol’s first international office opened in Beijing, China, heralding the start of the company’s globalisation strategy.

Beijing Ampcontrol Electrical Equipment Manufacture Co Ltd was established as a sales and service operation to support the continued growth of the Power and Electronics divisions’ products in the region. It also enabled small end manufacturing for this market.

After a successful history of exporting to China for seven years, the new facility allowed for direct representation with customers rather than relying on an agent. It also provided opportunities for sourcing raw materials as well as supporting existing OEM and Australian end user customers also doing business in China.
