NSW Premier Bob Carr opened Ampcontrol’s $3 million, purpose built, transformer manufacturing facility at Tomago. The new heavy engineering workshop enabled the design and manufacture, repair and service of transformers up to 80MVA 132kV.

The development also included a new Corporate Office. The investment in these new 3,000 square metre facilities enabled the creation of 25 new full time jobs.
