Ampcontrol’s first major export was a Mobile Open Cut Substation for White Industries’ Pipawar project, west of Calcutta in India. It marked the beginning of a successful export strategy over the following decades.

In January 2002 Ampcontrol received its first major export order from China. Ampcontrol supplied an underground mining substation, conveyor sub starters and development substations to Shanxi Asian American – Daning Energy Company Colliery.
