The Ampcontrol Group
The Ampcontrol Group has almost 300 years of combined experience.
Established in 1918, our UK operation Ampcontrol Allenwest is a specialist designer and manufacturer of flameproof electrical distribution and motor control equipment for use in coal mining, oil & gas and other hazardous areas.
On 1 September 2011, Allenwest Wallacetown changed its name to Ampcontrol UK Ltd trading as Ampcontrol Allenwest.
ATF Mining Electrics has specialised in manufacturing electrical systems and equipment for the mining and hazardous area sectors for 30 years.
Established in 1982, Austech Instruments has almost 30 years experience in the design and manufacture of gas detection equipment and systems serving the market sectors of oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, defence, heavy industry, building services and utilities.
On 1 July 2011 Austech Instruments business and assets were acquired by Ampcontrol CSM Pty Limited.
Burn Brite is a specialist designer and manufacturer of portable and fixed industrial, hazardous area and mine lighting with 55 years experience in research and development of lighting products for automotive, camping and industrial applications.
Utilising the latest technology and skills in cable management, the Ampcontrol Group has 24 hour cable repair and maintenance services available to carry out remedial action by highly trained and skilled teams.
ResTech is a research and development company combining the skills, competencies, knowledge and diversity of Ampcontrol and the intellectual vitality and expertise of the University of Newcastle.
